Empanadas "Arabic Style"

Depending on where you go in Argentiena you will find different recipes and traditions. In this case, we are talking about empanadas. These empanadas form Mendoza are great for any event. Here is the recipe of one of my favorite Empanadas!!

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • Flour 1 Lb

  • Water 2 cups

  • Sunflower Oil 1/2 cup

Method:

  • In a bowl, combine all the ingredients, season them with Pampas Herbs. Let the empanada mix marinate over night.

  • Make the dough by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.

  • Preheat the oven to 420*F.

  • Roll the dough into a rectangle, about 3mm of thickness. Cut circles of 5 to 7 cm with a cutter or a cup.

  • Place the empanada filling in the middle of the circle, then close the sides forming a triangle and leaving a window on top.

  • Place the empanadas on a sheet pan and Bake them at 420*f for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • Serve them with a wedge of lemon!
